New York City Workers Must Be Vaccinated By Sept. 13 Or Face Weekly Testing, Mayor Says

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) — New York City municipal workers must be vaccinated by the time school starts in the fall, or submit to weekly COVID testing.

Mayor Bill de Blasio made the announcement Monday.

The mandate takes effect September 13.

Last week, the city said health care workers need to be vaccinated or face similar testing.

That requirement begins August 2.
