Federal officials raided the Los Angeles and Miami homes belonging to Sean "Diddy" Combs, according to multiple reports.
In a statement to CBS, Homeland Security Investigations confirmed that it had "executed law enforcement actions as part of an ongoing investigation, with assistance from HSI Los Angeles, HSI Miami, and our local law enforcement partners."
The DHS and representatives for Combs did not immediately respond to a request for comment sent by Business Insider. It's unclear why the DHS was raiding the homes or who is the target of the raids on two homes.
The rapper and producer is facing multiple lawsuits from people who have accused him of sexual assault. He has denied the allegations.
Combs' ex-girlfriend Casandra "Cassie" Ventura accused him of raping and abusing her during their decadelong relationship in a lawsuit filed on November 17.
Ventura settled with Combs a day after filing her lawsuit.
"We will always support law enforcement when it seeks to prosecute those that have violated the law," a lawyer for Ventura told Business Insider in response to the news about the raid. "Hopefully, this is the beginning of a process that will hold Mr. Combs responsible for his depraved conduct."
This is a developing story; check back for more information.
