Police Announce Arrest Of Jamoy Phillip In Fatal Stabbing Of Akeem Loney On 2 Train Bound For Penn Station

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) — There is an update on a fatal stabbing of a man on a subway train.

Police said 26-year-old Jamoy Phillip was arrested Monday in connection with the November attack.

Victim Akeem Loney was stabbed in the neck on a northbound 2 train on Nov. 21 as the train pulled into Penn Station.

Loney was once well known in the soccer community. He had become homeless during the pandemic.
