NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) – A funeral is being held Monday for legendary rapper Biz Markie.
A number of his fellow hip hop stars are expected to turn out to celebrate his life.
Biz Markie died last month after a long career as a rapper, DJ, beatboxer and actor.
His real name was Marcel Theo Hall. He was born in Harlem and raised in Patchogue, Long Island.
Fat Joe, LL Cool J and Big Daddy Kane are among those expected to participate in the funeral at the Patchogue Theater for the Performing Arts.
Biz Markie was 57.
