Police: Man Strikes Brooklyn Hotel Employee In Head With Hammer After Argument

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) — Police are trying to identify a man who allegedly struck a hotel employee in the head with a hammer in Brooklyn.

It happened Monday morning at the Quality Inn on Osborn Street in Brownsville.

Police say the suspect got into an argument with three employees through a glass partition and allegedly started spitting at them through an opening in the partition.

One employee, a 32-year-old man, opened the door to the office to confront the suspect.

Police say that’s when the suspect hit the employee in the head with a hammer before running away.

The victim suffered bruising and swelling to his head. He refused medical attention at the scene.

Police have released surveillance photos of the suspect.
