Video from the Union Square station shows a man with cuts on his face talking with NYPD officers, but police said it was unrelated and happened in the aftermath of two men fighting.
Police said another slashing happened on a southbound train near Astor Place. Like the other incident, police said two men approached a victim, 44, and one slashed them in the face.
Around 4:45 a.m., two men approached a 44-year-old man on a train near the Brooklyn Bridge-City Hall station. One of the suspects slashed the man in the back of the head, police said. The man was hospitalized in stable condition.
Police believe the suspects are in their 20s.
Additionally, police said Friday they are trying to identify a man caught on camera punching a man at a subway station in Brooklyn last week.
Police are looking for several suspects wanted in a series of recent violent attacks in the subway.
