Police: Protesters Throw Red Paint On Central Park Statues, Deface Property In Midtown

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) — According to police, a group of protesters threw red paint on statues leading into Central Park on Thursday night.

Police say the crowd has been marching up Eighth Avenue, defacing property.

They have allegedly spray-painted the back of a bus with black paint and defaced the outside of a restaurant.

There’s no word on what group it is and why they are staging a protest.
