YONKERS, N.Y. (CBSNewYork) — A child was shot in Yonkers on Thursday.
The shooting happened around 6 p.m.
Police say the 6-year-old boy was on his porch or near his front door when multiple shots were fired. The child was struck in his shoulder.
He was taken to Jacobi Hospital and was last reported to be in stable condition, CBS2’s Cory James reports.
According to police, three people were taken into custody within minutes of the shooting. All three are under the age of 18.
Police do not believe there are any more suspects at large.
Two handguns were recovered at the scene.
Police say the suspects were shooting at each other.
