NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) — Lights line the streets of Brooklyn to commemorate Ramadan.
The light display covers a 20-block area in Bay Ridge and is there for the first time ever.
The area is home to a large Muslim population.
The holy month of Ramadan started Monday and is a time of fasting, prayer and reflection for Muslims around the world.
